Step by Step Guide to Staking your AZERO and nominating to Anubis Staking

Staking with AZERO with the native wallet requires a few more steps than other chains. This guide from Anubis Staking will walk you through the steps so you can start earning rewards on your $AZERO. Average staking rewards as of Aug 20th, 2022 are 12.95%.
Why nominate with Anubis Staking? First you would be supporting an independent validator and not one of the larger validator companies that dominate the industry. Secondly the Aleph Zero is designed to treat all validators equally meaning you should generally receive the same % reward no matter the size of the validator. Thirdly you will receive responsive service and support if you nominate with Anubis Staking. We are always happy to help people on their blockchain and Web3 journey. Lastly we strongly believe in the vision of the Aleph Zero team and validators and nominators play a critical role in securing the blockchain, and a higher number of independent validators increases the decentralization of the chain.
Step 1 - Buy Aleph Zero
Aleph Zero's AZERO coin can be purchased at several centralized exchanges, MEXC, Gate.io or Huobi Global. We have used MEXC for all of our purchases without any issues, by trading USDT for AZERO. MEXC has the highest volume of AZERO trading as of August 8th, 2022.
Step 2 - Choose a Wallet for AZERO
Aleph Zero currently offers 4 wallets for holding your $AZERO
Native AZERO Wallet
Nova Wallet - Mobile Only
SubWallet
Talisman
Ledger Support (Coming Soon - In Testing)
Common Wallet (Coming Soon)
"For staking I currently recommend the Native AZERO, SubWallet or NOVA wallet, until Common and Ledger support are released."
Step 3 - Setup Staking on AZERO
Setup Staking on the AZERO Native Wallet
Use Aleph Zero's guide to setup two wallets for Staking, one wallet acts as the Controller while the other acts as the Stash account
How to set up your Aleph Zero wallet on the Mainnet?
The stash account is essentially a "Cold Wallet" while the Controller performs all of the actions but can't transfer the funds from the stash.
Ensure you have a few AZERO in your Controller wallet to pay for transactions
On the wallet menu go to Network -> Staking -> Accounts (Black Bar)
Click the + Nominator button, this will pop up a screen
Choose the amount to stake
Recommend choosing "Stash account (increase the amount at stake)" as this compounds your rewards automatically in the Stash account.
Hit Next
Choose "Anubis Staking" as your validator
Hit Next and sign the transaction using your account password

Setup Staking on SubWallet
Setup Staking on Nova Wallet
Nominate your $AZERO to Anubis Staking
By nominating your AZERO to Anubis Staking you help decentralize the Aleph Zero blockchain and increase its security. For further information please visit the AZERO Staking information page Staking - Aleph Zero: Public Blockchain with Private Smart Contracts
